Neptune Trine Natal Pluto, Sun Enters Aquarius

Posted in Aquarius, Libra, Neptune, Pluto, Sun on 01/20/2010 by nemain nyx

From mid-January through mid-February Neptune in Aquarius is exactly trine my (including many others in my generation) natal Pluto in Libra at 25 degrees.

Pluto resides in my 5th house (Nati) of creativity and self-expression. The difficulties I experience in freely expressing myself are my burden to bear. However, for a short period and at a very well-timed point in my life I am lent the free-flowing power of Neptune in Aquarius. This harmonic transit comes at a time when I need self-evaluation the most, and I’m finding this to be absolutely invaluable as I stare down the barrel of some very difficult transits coming in the near future. Thank you Neptune!

Today the Sun enters Aquarius to join Neptune and Venus. Already since Monday I’ve been getting some very heady and mind-expanding ideas about some things I’ve had a history of being a jealous Scorpion about. Venus in Aquarius is about loving as you will. Enjoying yourself as you will. Sun in Aquarius is about love of experience, knowledge, the collective, expansion, and abstract thought. Humanist in nature, however the negative aspects tend towards a a sense of detachment possibly to the extent of hypocrisy or perversity.

The sun is strongly conjunct Venus today (the strongest conjunct we’ll see in Aquarius this year) however the connection is not as strong as the Capricorn transit earlier this month. You may feel a lot of that Aquarian energy flowing through you the next couple of days. I’m trying to appreciate this easy-going feeling. Translation: happiness! Because I’m sure to wish I could draw upon it when we hit that next Saturn/Pluto square at the end of the month. Love yourself today, make it an early Valentine’s day just for you. How’s that for a Neptune in Aquarius idea?

All Direct

I just had to break radio silence to announce that we have no major planets in retrograde until late this month when Mars goes on the 21st.

There have been quite a few changes in my life lately, a period of Venus/Uranus and Saturnine activity. However, I’m ready to approach the new year with a fresh start and a renewed sense of self.

This take-charge approach is enhances by a Sun/Mars trine in Sagg/Leo, but runs into difficulty given the opposition to Jupiter in Aquarius. On the personal front the Sun (although in trine with Mar’s current position) is squaring my natal Mars in Virgo. The stress of all this change is getting to me, and the need to arrange the chaos into some semblance of order is causing me to shut down.

I cannot wait until the transit of Jupiter squaring my natal Saturn is over. I realize now where my life has reached the point of excess and needs to be trimmed back, simplified, and let loose. Here’s to the coming new year!

Jupiter Goes Direct!

Posted in Aquarius, Current Events, Direct Station, Jupiter, Mars, Pluto, Saturn, Venus on 10/12/2009 by ananda silvermoon

Happy Jupiter Direct, everyone! The planet of luck stationed direct just a few minutes ago at 17+ Aquarius.

Sorry things are kinda quiet around here; Nyx is traveling, and I’m overwhelmed with other stuff. Here’s Astrolabe’s interpretation of how my life is going right now:

Jupiter is Square your Moon applying with an orb of 01 degrees XX minutes.
Too much is happening! You may find yourself reacting to emotionally charged situations involving females now. There may also be some conflicts of opinion over differing judgments. You may need to adapt to extravagant or wasteful situations (often in public) and make important judgment calls. Be reasonable in your expectations about others, family matters, and real estate. Be honest with yourself about obligations. Don’t expect the world to do everything for you, and you don’t have to be everyone else’s protector.

Well, it’s right about the too much is happening part anyway. Here’s a little preview of the week ahead: Venus sextiles Mars and conjuncts Saturn on Tuesday (PDT), then enters Libra on Wednesday afternoon, promptly running into a square with Pluto that’s exact Thursday morning at 10:51 PDT. Mars’ entry to Leo on Friday is also accompanied by a Solar quincunx to Uranus and trine to Neptune the same day. On Sunday Mars also forms a quincunx to Pluto, on the same day that the Moon enters the sign ruled by these two planets, Scorpio. Holy crap, that’s a lot of energy in one week!

I’m dealing by staying busy, and getting things that need to get done, done. I’m reeling a bit from some recent news (very good!) about an upcoming event, and the associated astrology, which is a bit too much for me to believe right now. Of course, I’m seeing in it what I want to see; the Universe will unfold however it sees fit. My job now – and our job in general with astrology – is to take the opportunity the Universe is providing and make the best of it.

Scorpio Moon, Repressed Trauma

Posted in Aquarius, Asteroids, Current Events, Luna, Mercury, Neptune, Pluto, Saturn, Scorpio on 09/22/2009 by ananda silvermoon

Just a quick post here while this is fresh in my mind; I’ve been working on a post on the influence of Neptune lately but it turns out Neptune is very tricky and hard to get ahold of. I’m going to keep working on it and hopefully something will come out that makes sense.

In the meantime, it’s a Scorpio moon, which we all know we love here at LN. Combined with the Sun/Mercury/Saturn connjunction stuff going on, and some careful reading of Sue Thompkins’ Aspects book we’ve mentioned previously, I have managed to dig deep into some early, unremembered aspects of my life and uncovered some potential trauma in my early life. It fits, at least, and scarily well. So I’ve been dealing with all of the associated memories and emotions bubbling up to the surface.

Before I went to bed last night I set my alarm for 8:00 AM. I woke up this morning surprisingly well-rested, on my own accord, without the alarm going off. I got out of bed and looked at the clock: it was 11:30. AAAAGH! 3 and a half hours late. I managed to get in to work by noon… guess it’ll be a long day today.

Oh, and one more thing that I noticed yesterday: Pandora, asteroid #55, is all up in the triple conjunction going on in late Aquarius. Is someone opening up her box in the health care debate? Maybe a little?

Stupid Mercury, playing tricks on us, and messing with Saturn (getting in the way of our responsibilities). Stupid Scorpio Moon, making me plumb the depths of my unconscious. Stupid Pandora, opening up cans of worms all over everything.

Sorry. Today I am grumpy, tired, angry, hurt, hungry, and stressed out.

Pallas Opposite Psyche

Posted in Aquarius, Asteroids, Leo on 07/10/2009 by nemain nyx

I haven’t gone much into the asteroids in the past, but Pallas in Leo (representative of problem-solving, clear-headedness, and strategy) opposite Psyche (representative of the inner sanctum, “fabric of life”, or soul) in Aquarius struck me as a very interesting aspect. Sort of a “pride in your plan” conflicting “spiritual inner being” sort of story.

Pallas in Leo is a powerful position for creativity and showmanship. Though there is still only a thin amount of information out there on the strictly astrological aspects of Psyche, there is a wealth of information on the psychological and mythological ideas of the psyche. It seems to me that Psyche would be right at home in the sign of Aquarius.

So an opposition, (or divisive, conflicting pull in two directions) between the creative, powerful, calculating self and your very essence certainly indicates a moment of creative inner disturbance and if it hits you just right, a powerful inner struggle or crisis. Whoa right?

But really, how strong of an effect do the asteroids have? A lot of modern astrologers seems to feel that Pallas has some effect. There isn’t much mention of Psyche (except when it has a strong natal aspect to Eros).

Asteroids don’t have exactly stable paths and are viewed as the astrological C-team when it comes to whether or not you should give more weight to this seemingly powerfully artistic and psychological opposite of Pallas in Leo vs. Psyche in Aquarius or Mercury in Cancer sextile Saturn. (Mercury regarded as being an extremely influential – or highly “felt” – planet given it’s position to the Sun).

I’m still learning about this, but like I said in the beginning, I find it incredibly interesting.

Libra Moon Void, Big Day Tomorrow

Posted in Aquarius, Chiron, Current Events, Gemini, Jupiter, Libra, Luna, Mars, Mercury, Neptune, Retrograde Station, Scorpio, Uranus, Venus on 06/30/2009 by ananda silvermoon

In a few hours the moon will slip into secretive Scorpio, but for now it is void of course in late Libra, having trined the Aquarius stellium earlier today (actually, it was a grand air trine, involving mercury in Gemini as well!). The moon’s entry into Scorpio sets the stage for a big day tomorrow, with both Mercury and Venus forming exact aspects to the Aquarius stellium and to Uranus. This is only intensified by the fact that Mars is only a few degrees behind Venus, so expect whatever happens tomorrow to stick around for a few days.

So this is an interesting pattern that we have, which is exact tomorrow. Mercury is 30 degrees ahead of Venus, which is sextile Uranus and square the Aquarius stellium of Chiron, Neptune and Jupiter. This gives us two squares, two semisextiles, a sextile and a trine. Of course, since two of our four points comprise more than one planet, these aspects are intensified. This gives us something stable, something resonant, but something with direction to it, something pushing or pulling us to action. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s not exactly comfortable either.

What does it all mean? What’s going to happen tomorrow? I have no idea. Nyx is our mythology expert, I’m more like the astronomer. I just know where the planets are at any given time. And if I told you to expect effects on communication, relationships, finances, luck, or dreams, or if I told you to expect the unexpected, well, that would probably cover it. Hardly going out on a limb there. But I have been watching the skies long enough to know that this sort of alignment is rare, but will definitely be interesting; I’m not expecting earthquakes or anything. Though I do think that the big news of the day – Norm Coleman concedes and Al Franken is finally Senator from Minnesota – might have something to do with a certain outer planet – one that is shaping our current events through its opposition to another certain outer planet – stationing retrograde. Which also happens tomorrow, or tonight, depending on your time zone. Yep, not only is Uranus involved in the series of aspects tomorrow, it’s also at its retrograde station. OH – and – !!! – 2009 is officially half over as of tomorrow.

Told you it was a big day tomorrow. Happy July! Namaste!

Jupiter Trine Natal Jupiter

Posted in Aquarius, Jupiter, Libra on 06/10/2009 by nemain nyx

Right now Jupiter in Aquarius is exactly trine my natal Jupiter of Libra in the 5th House of Nati (or House of Pleasure). To me this has felt like a very large portal has opened in my mind, and specifically in my dance. I came to the rather sudden realization that I’m ready to start working towards becoming a professional dancer and took a big mental leap (and some small but important physical leaps) towards my goal.

My Jupiter in Libra has given me a tendency to have big ideas but become extremely indecisive when it comes to the smaller decisions. Sort of an “OK, I’m ready to do this! so where do I go from here?” situation.

This is where Jupiter’s placement in the very concise, logical sign of Aquarius comes in handy. After much hemming & hawing the past few months my professional dance name simply came to me. I have laid out my next steps and I’m ready to take them on (one at a time though, it’s a process). It’s times like these that Jupiter gets its nickname as the “Greater Fortune”.

The Dark Moon in Aries/Taurus

Posted in Aquarius, Aries, Jupiter, Luna, Neptune, Taurus on 04/23/2009 by nemain nyx

Some new moons are easier for me than others. This week has proven to be significantly more mellow and reassuring than I’ve had in a while.

As we head into this next lunation, I am definitely feeling the spiritual strength of the Jupiter/Neptune conjunct with a decisive confidence influence of Aries.

The Moon isn’t particularly jazzed about Aries, as the intensity tends to send the Ram frantically searching for a new direction. When emotions drive Aries, things can be impulsive for good or ill.

But, for a Scorpio who loves & appreciates the stability of my opposing sign, I’m finding my balance. The Sun is trine Saturn/Pluto in 4 degrees Taurus. Whether it’s a relief from the tension of the changing seasons or finding a refreshing new start in my workplace, I’m in a whole new mindset and ready to take on the spring.
